Buro Happold is seeking an Electrical Intern in New York, offering hands-on experience on sustainable engineering projects. You'll work with BIM tools and electrical building services design, supporting teams across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and exposure to industry-leading software like Revit, Design Master, and SKM while contributing to projects that shape communities and address climate challenges.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, and/or building systems design.
Interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems.
Experience with alternative energy systems preferred.
Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
Internship experience at an engineering firm preferred.
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
Eagerness to learn and work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Using Revit, prepare technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
Analyze load to determine system sizing, and assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
Undertake electrical building services design and calculations using Design Master and SKM.
Embrace the latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability.
