Position Overview

The Electric Install Technician will primarily perform planned maintenance and/or installation as needed. We offer on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Starting pay is based on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve clients by expertly addressing their needs.
  • Wear floor savers and maintain a neat work area during repairs or scheduled services.
  • Explain to clients the services being performed and demonstrate how the company provides superior service.
  • Plan layout and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures per job specifications and local codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Test electrical systems and circuits to ensure safety and compatibility.
  • Use various tools and testing devices, including power tools, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, or compliance issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck and job site.
  • Obey the company's Code of Ethics and Team Rules.
  • Participate actively in training, meetings, and retreats.
  • Train and mentor apprentices.
  • Accurately complete invoices, time cards, and feedback forms.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation is performance-based.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of technical and trade experience
  • Deep knowledge of electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Understanding of Ohio electrical codes
  • Clean driving record
  • Self-motivated, reliable, flexible hours
  • Proficient with an iPad and Service Titan preferred
  • Pass random drug testing
  • Desire to grow and obtain additional certifications
  • Excellent technical communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Knowledge of power tools and safety techniques

Physical Demands

  • Climbing ladders and equipment
  • Heavy lifting (50-75 pounds), ladder work, tight spaces
  • Ability to carry up to 25 pounds over 250 feet
  • Operate handheld power tools
  • Manual digging in tight areas
  • Wear protective gear
  • Work more than 40 hours/week as needed
  • Indoor and outdoor work
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
