Position Summary:

Our Milacron Batavia, OH location is hiring an Electrical Wirer in Assembly. This position builds and wires panels for machines, equipment, and their subassemblies following layouts, electrical circuits, and other specifications.

Work You’ll Do
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Set the department / area standards in housekeeping, attendance, and teamwork by example.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or errors on prints, materials list etc.
  • Recognize problems during assembly, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
  • Produce quality work in a time frame that meets the expectations of the Team/Group Leads.
  • Complete Lockout / Tag out training using all required items when performing Lockout.
  • Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Recognize problems with electrical designs and parts, take appropriate corrective action to resolve them.
  • Recommend improvements for work area, products, and processes.
  • Perform prototype work with limited Engineering and minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent knowledge (basic math, reading, and writing).
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must be able to read Schematics/ Wiring diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress / emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • 3 plus years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
