Job summary

Emerson Power & Water Solutions in Cranberry Township, PA, seeks an Installation Design Engineer to lead electrical control system modernization for North American projects. You will design, verify, and install control solutions for power generation facilities, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of related experience in electrical design and migration.
Knowledge of instrumentation signals and field wiring.
Experience with electrical hardware selection and layout.
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.
Willingness to travel up to 30% and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical control system solutions for reliability and safety.
Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation design packages for large projects.
Perform field assessments, wire audits, and verification activities to support modernization.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop control architectures and I/O designs.
Support customer installations through startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Provide technical leadership and oversight for contractors during installation.
Manage multiple projects while maintaining customer relationships and quality outcomes.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and service teams for successful results.
