Job summary

Emerson is seeking a motivated Controls Engineer to design, implement, and deliver control system solutions for North American projects. Based near Cranberry Township, PA, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable, high-quality control systems for new generation power projects.

You should have a STEM degree and at least five years in engineering, with hands-on experience in DCS/PLC platforms and power technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or similar STEM degree
Minimum 5 years engineering experience
Experience with new generation or emerging power technologies
Experience designing, implementing, or supporting control systems using DCS/PLC
Travel up to 30% domestically
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement control system solutions for new generation power projects
Develop engineering deliverables meeting safety, quality, performance, and reliability requirements
Collaborate with engineers, project teams, customers, and A/E firms for system design and alignment
Configure and test DCS and/or PLC platforms
Participate in Design Reviews, FAT, and onsite commissioning activities
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during engineering and testing phases
Apply and follow established engineering standards, tools, and best practices
Support improvement of engineering processes and technical solutions
Contribute to customer discussions, technical presentations, and proposals
