Job summary

Graybar is seeking a district sales leader to attain or exceed sales and gross margin budgets in the Electrical and Industrial markets. This role typically oversees a team of sales reps and a sales support staff, managing an annual district budget of up to $4M.

Responsibilities include developing strategic business plans, implementing sales processes, and building key customer relationships. The role emphasizes leadership, recruiting, and training to drive growth and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in business or wholesale distribution
• Four-year degree required
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry
• Knowledge of Electrical and Industrial business
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Oral and written communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans that support Electrical and Industrial markets within the assigned territory.
• Implement sales management processes, establish annual sales and gross margin targets for sales personnel.
• Evaluate industry and business trends for opportunities and threats.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers.
• Ensure recruiting, staffing, employee development, and performance management programs are in place.
• Assist in tools and training programs to support business growth.
