Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant in Glen Rose, TX is seeking an Electrical / I&C Plant Support Engineer to serve as the system expert and support operating requirements.

You will perform field walk-downs, develop outage and maintenance lists, investigate corrective actions, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver accurate technical reports and timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Technical engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical and/or I&C systems preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system expert in electrical or I&C systems in support of operating requirements.
• Provide solutions for problem solving, decision making, and troubleshooting.
• Trend system parameters and monitor performance of assigned systems.
• Prepare technical engineering products: reports, evaluations, and failure analyses.
• Develop outage and routine maintenance activity lists.
• Investigate and implement corrective actions per the Corrective Action Program.
• Perform field walk-downs and interface with other groups to resolve issues.
