Eagle Creek Renewable Energy, LLC is seeking a Hydro Plant Technician (electrical focus) to operate and maintain hydroelectric facilities and water conveyance systems. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and community stewardship, with duties covering unit operation, maintenance, logkeeping, and response to alarms.

The position requires strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, PLC/SCADA familiarity, and a commitment to safe, compliant plant operation.

Qualificações

• Power plant/industrial/utility or military operations experience preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including reading schematics and diagnosing control circuits.
• Experience with instrumentation, PLC based control systems, and calibration practices preferred.
• Electrical aptitude; interpreting P&IDs of electrical systems essential to hydro operations.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect hydroelectric plants, dams, and equipment; document findings.
• Start, stop, monitor, and adjust generating units per procedures and dispatch direction.
• Maintain operating logs, inspection records, work orders, and downtime reports.
• Respond to alarms, outages, and abnormal conditions; stabilize the plant and protect personnel.
• Participate in rotating coverage, including weekends and holidays.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators, exciters, motors, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.
• Inspect, test, and maintain PLC/SCADA equipment, sensors, and communications systems.
• Perform routine electrical, mechanical and facility maintenance; use hand/power tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical/control/instrumentation issues using drawings and data.
• Support outages, testing, and return-to-service activities; lockout/tagout procedures.
