Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies in California is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end integration of Hardware and Software across the Development Life Cycle. You will be a key liaison between RVT and VW Group Brand program management teams.

You will manage schedules, dependencies, risks, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product and leadership; driving process improvements while ensuring feasibility and quality of designs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering or related technical fields.
• 6+ years of Technical or Engineering Program Management experience.
• Experience with Systems Engineering principles.
• Experience with Hardware and/or Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with Test and Validation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Expert in agile and waterfall development process using Jira and other tools.
• Understanding of hardware/software bring-up of distributed systems and managing dependencies.
• Proven track record with software development project planning, progress tracking, and risk management.
• Experience with Software Defined Vehicles is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support feature champion and partner structure to enable delivery across RVT and Volkswagen groups.
• Plan, create and maintain technical schedules, priorities, and execution plans for multiple programs.
• Drive cross-functional software programs internally and across partners.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and partners to achieve business and technical goals.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, identify, communicate, and mitigate dependencies and risks.
• Ensure designs are evaluated for feasibility, scalability, and quality.
• Provide leadership to unblock obstacles and prioritize rigorously.
• Provide program updates to the team and executive management.
• Escalate issues early to prevent deliverables from going out of bounds.
• Identify and execute continuous process improvements.
