Exelon in Illinois seeks an engineer to independently perform technical tasks across planning, design, construction, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure. You will conduct studies, calculations, and permits to ensure safety and reliability in energy delivery.

Responsibilities include analyzing system performance, supporting cost estimation, budgeting, and coordinating with engineering, operations, and external partners. Some storms or emergencies may require extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 2–4 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices.
• Familiarity with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering assignments with independent discretion under guidance.
• Analyze and interpret results of complex power flows and tests.
• Direct engineering tasks on large or multiple projects while ensuring adherence to standards.
• Evaluate effectiveness of technical systems and participate in teams.
