Job summary

Technibus is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. The role focuses on assembling electrical gear and switchgear components according to engineering drawings and work instructions, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, measure parts precisely, and use a range of hand and power tools while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications.
• Measure materials and components accurately with tape measures and measuring devices.
• Operate hand and power tools safely to assemble components.
• Perform mechanical assembly while meeting quality standards and production schedules.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve mechanical fit problems.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical gear and switchgear components according to blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and specifications.
• Measure materials and components accurately using measuring devices.
• Use hand and power tools including wrenches, drills, impact drivers, etc.
• Install and secure nuts, bolts, brackets, and mechanical hardware to specifications.
• Perform mechanical assembly while maintaining quality and schedules.
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and resolve fit or assembly concerns.
• Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
