Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a skilled Foreman Electrician to lead a crew on commercial/industrial electrical projects in Alabama. The role involves directing Journeyman, Apprentices and Helpers, mentoring staff, and ensuring work meets the highest quality and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, develop material lists, coordinate with supervision and other trades, and supervise installations, terminations, and conduit work. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Reading and understanding blueprints, project specs and schematics.
• Communicating with other trades and supervising stakeholders.
• Developing manpower schedules for assigned scope.
• Understanding NEC guidelines and safety standards.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside the crew and ensure quality of work to the highest standards.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands; communicate lists to supervision.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panels and feeders as required.
• Read project drawings and blueprints; lay out work from electrical documents.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and related components.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits and perform basic fault finding.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local codes and NEC requirements.
