Job summary

Canyon State Electric in Salt Lake City is seeking a full-time Foreman 1-2 to coordinate operations and oversee electricians on construction sites. You will be the reference for workers and supervisors, ensuring quality and safety while managing a crew and project budget.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of commercial/industrial foreman electrical experience, strong leadership, plan-reading skills, NFPA 70 knowledge, and the ability to guide a 20+ person crew.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial/industrial foreman electrical experience.
• Experience in data center and high-rise projects preferred.
• Experience leading crews of 20+ employees.
• Advanced abilities at reading plans, submittals, and specifications.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70 and electrical codes and installation methods.
• Ability to order and track materials and develop as‑builts.
• Clean background and driving record.
• Ability to run projects $1M and larger.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field production activities to ensure top quality workmanship and teamwork.
• Ensure work aligns with company standards and project specs, including labor/material planning.
• Create material Buy-Out prior to job start.
• Plan work and labor requirements for the project for at least 3 weeks.
• Complete As-Built Drawings and order material weekly.
• File daily reports and report incidents.
• Manage Close-Out processes and site budget control.
• Communicate with Project Management and customer/GC.
• Draft RFIs and submit to PM team.
• Enforce safety and HR policies and discipline as needed.
• Enter and approve timecards for assigned crew.
