Amteck in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced Electrical Foreman to supervise a crew of helpers, apprentices, and journeyman electricians on a new construction project. You will install, troubleshoot and manage electrical systems while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 7–10 years in commercial/industrial electrical construction, strong leadership, ability to read blueprints, coordinate with other trades, and manage schedules.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to lead and mentor teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Thorough understanding of a small, assigned scope of work.
• Communicates with other trades and negotiates work assignments.
• Reads and understands blueprints and contract-related documents of other trades.
• Understands customer relationships and customer satisfaction.
• Understands construction schedules for assigned scope.
• Able to learn BlueBeam and Navisworks to understand project plans.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Work alongside your crew and ensure quality of work is to the highest standards.
• Assist in the development of an effective manpower schedule for their team.
• Develop material lists from layouts, area prints, and job site demands and communicating lists to supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by understanding what needs to be done and communicates that effectively to their team.
• Ensure all work done by crew is within local and NEC guidelines.
• Work independently to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, brand circuit and feeder conductors.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of circuitry.
• Read and understand project specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
• Lay out small areas of work from electrical drawings and project documents, including underground layout.
• Correctly determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of lighting and general power circuits.
