Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Foreman Electrician to supervise a crew of Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians on commercial/industrial projects. You will lead, train and evaluate the crew while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with NEC standards.

You will read blueprints and project specs, develop material lists, and coordinate with supervision to meet production and budget goals. On-site leadership and problem-solving are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Able to lead, mentor and coach teams of roughly five Helpers, Apprentices and Journeyman Electricians.
• Thoroughly understands blueprints, project specs and contract docs.
• Able to read and interpret construction schedules and communicate plans to the crew.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of electrical theory and field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Journeyman, Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
• Ensure quality of work is to the highest standards and on schedule.
• Assist in developing manpower schedules for the team.
• Develop material lists from layouts and job site demands and share with supervision.
• Help achieve production and budget goals by communicating needs clearly to the team.
• Ensure all crew work complies with local codes and NEC guidelines.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and electrical devices.
• Read project specs, blueprints and schematics and apply to on-site tasks.
