Job summary

GDC Industrial, Inc. in Tyler, Texas is seeking an Electrical Foreman (E7) to supervise electrical crews and manage day-to-day field operations, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, and in line with project specs.

You will review drawings, coordinate manpower and materials, lead safety briefings, enforce NEC compliance, mentor crew members, and communicate progress through daily reports. This full-time on-site role requires a Journeyman license and 8+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• State-issued Journeyman Electrician license (where applicable).
• Operational understanding of NEC and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated field leadership and supervisory experience.
• Ability to plan work, manage crews, and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct electrical crews, including journeymen, apprentices, and helpers.
• Plan, assign, and coordinate daily work activities in alignment with project schedules.
• Review drawings, specifications, and work plans to ensure proper execution.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and progress; address performance issues promptly.
• Coordinate manpower, tools, equipment, and materials with project leadership.
• Enforce company and site safety policies and procedures.
• Lead JHAs, toolbox talks, and daily safety briefings.
• Ensure NEC compliance and project requirements.
• Interface with project management, other trades, and client representatives as needed.
• Track labor hours, production, and work completed; provide daily reports.
• Identify scope changes, design conflicts, material shortages, and safety concerns.
• Support inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Mentor and develop crew members.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Perform limited hands-on electrical work as required.
