Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Electrical Foreman in Las Vegas, NV to lead complex electrical installations on a large-scale industrial project. Job Title: Electrical Foreman

Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Per Diem: $770 per week

Job Description

This role leads and oversees complex electrical installations across high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems on a large-scale industrial project. The Electrical Foreman coordinates field crews, ensures safe and efficient execution of underground and above-ground conduit work, and manages cable pulling, cable tray, and switchgear installations. The position requires hands‑on leadership in a remote industrial environment, with responsibility for guiding crews through installation, startup, and commissioning activities while working from hard copy drawings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical installations for high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems on an industrial site.

• Direct underground conduit installation activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

• Lead above-ground conduit installation, including planning, layout, and quality control of rigid conduit runs.

• Supervise cable pulling operations with a crew of approximately 12 wire pullers, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.

• Manage cable tray installations, including routing, support systems, and coordination with other trades.

• Coordinate and oversee switchgear installation work, ensuring correct placement, alignment, and connections.

• Provide clear instruction and on‑job training to crew members on wire pulling and cable installation techniques.

• Oversee electrical startup activities, including verification of terminations, continuity, and system readiness.

• Review and interpret hard copy drawings provided by the superintendent, and translate them into executable field plans.

• Verify proper terminations of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage circuits and ensure adherence to standards.

• Apply basic instrumentation knowledge as needed to support electrical installation and startup work.

• Organize daily work assignments, allocate tasks to crew members, and monitor progress against schedule.

• Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all crew members follow safe work practices in a remote outdoor environment.

• Collaborate with supervision and other crafts to coordinate work sequencing and resolve field issues.

• Ensure tools, equipment, and precision instruments such as optic levels and laser levels are used correctly and maintained properly.

Essential Skills

• Extensive experience with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems.

• Proven ability to direct underground conduit installation work in an industrial setting.

• Proven ability to direct above-ground conduit installation, including rigid conduit.

• Hands‑on experience with cable tray installation and routing in industrial facilities.

• Strong knowledge of switchgear installation and associated electrical connections.

• Ability to install rigid conduit accurately and efficiently.

• Demonstrated experience pulling cable and overseeing wire pulling operations.

• Proficiency in terminations of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage circuits.

• Experience overseeing at least 12 crew members at a time in the field.

• At least 10 years of experience acting as a foreman in an electrical foreman role.

• Ability to read, understand, and work from hard copy drawings provided by a superintendent.

• Some instrumentation knowledge applicable to industrial electrical work.

• Strong teamwork mindset and ability to function effectively as part of a larger project team.

• Heavy industrial experience with experience on large, complex industrial sites.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with large industrial contractors or similar heavy industrial projects is highly beneficial.

• Experience refurbishing old industrial sites and building new plants is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in remote, resource‑limited locations.

• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow and cooler temperatures at high elevation.

• Strong communication skills to provide clear direction and coaching to field crews.

• Ability to adapt to early start times and extended work hours while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Work Environment

The work takes place at a very remote industrial site approximately an hour and a half from a small Nevada town, with no services at the job site itself. The project involves refurbishing an old industrial facility and constructing a new plant, with nearly all work performed outdoors and very minimal indoor tasks. The site sits at an elevation of around 7,000 feet, and conditions include cooler temperatures and snowfall in the winter. Work schedules typically run 60 hours per week, structured as six 10‑hour days. Transportation is provided from town to the site, with departures around 4:15–4:30 AM and returns around 6:00 PM; on‑site shifts generally run from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Housing options are available in town, including hotels and some apartments, but the town is small and housing can be limited. The environment is heavily industrial, and the role relies on tools and equipment such as rigid conduit tools, cable pulling gear, cable trays, switchgear, and precision instruments like optic levels and laser levels. Dress and attire must be suitable for outdoor industrial work in a remote, high‑elevation environment and aligned with standard safety requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
