Job summary

Actalent seeks an Entry Level Field Technician to support safe operation of electrical distribution systems in the Dayton, OH area. The role focuses on field inspections, data collection, and documentation of low voltage equipment with weekend-ready field readiness.

Responsibilities include measuring, mapping, and recording equipment on poles, plus preparing minor work orders and reports for infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• Outdoor field technician role requiring basic computer use and data entry.
• Ability to perform visual inspections of distribution equipment in varying weather.
• Comfort with physical activity and outdoor tasks in utility environments.
• Ability to learn NESC and utility construction standards.

Responsibilities

• Report to Dayton-area office daily for assignments.
• Conduct visual inspections of overhead and underground equipment.
• Compile and organize field data for reports and minor work orders.
• Measure and map Low Voltage Distribution systems.
• Identify and document equipment on poles and associated hardware.
• Assist with field data collection using laptops, GPS and tablets.
• Ensure safety practices and meet productivity goals.
