Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Field Technician in Asheville, NC to support design, inspection, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems. This role blends field work with engineering support and requires strong technical aptitude, clear communication, and outdoor work capability.

Responsibilities include producing field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates; applying NESC and utility standards; and maintaining records and data across projects.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in engineering and electrical systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work with schematics and blueprints.
• Learn and apply the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and utility standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; maintain organized records.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates.
• Apply NESC and industry standards to projects.
• Develop knowledge across engineering disciplines and construction methods.
• Maintain quality and organize data, reports, and databases.
