Job summary

BLS Electrical, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to oversee field electrical operations on commercial and industrial projects.

The position requires Journeyman Electrician licensing, 5+ years of supervision, strong NEC/NFPA/OSHA knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician License required in the state of operation (or reciprocity eligible).
• 5+ years of electrical field supervision experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA and related safety codes.
• Proficient at reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lead field crews on multi-million-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electricians, foremen, and subcontractors on job sites.
• Ensure work complies with company standards, project specs, and codes.
• Monitor and enforce OSHA safety procedures and guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to guide installations.
• Schedule manpower and coordinate daily work assignments to meet timelines.
• Oversee material ordering and inventory management at job sites.
• Participate in job walks and pre-construction meetings.
• Interface with the Project Manager to track progress and budgets.
• Maintain daily work logs, inspections, incidents, and change orders.
• Troubleshoot field electrical and instrumentation issues.
• Provide training and mentorship to foremen and field crews.
