Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Field Technician in the United States to assist in start-up commissioning, integration, and emergency service for 480VAC bus duct systems. You will troubleshoot equipment, interact with customers, and maintain communication with the CRC, supervisor, and manager.

The role emphasizes safety, rapport-building, and timely reporting. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, ASMET, and 1+ years in an electrical environment, with basic knowledge of test equipment and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ASMET degree required.
  • 1+ years hands-on electrical environment experience.
  • Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
  • Basic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB/HPB/TOB systems.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers and sales reps.
  • Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
  • Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Manage own schedule and respond to emergency calls while aiming for first-time fixes.
