Job summary

Imperium Utility Services in Oklahoma City is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead OH/UG crew safety, conduct weekly field observations, manage PPE and safety databases, and support apprenticeship programs. This role emphasizes OSHA/DOT compliance, strong communication, and proactive training across crews and offices.

You will coordinate with Operations on training, assist in incident investigations, and travel as needed for storm restoration safety support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college degree in safety preferred
• Minimum of 7 years in related industry or 5 years as safety professional in electrical distribution
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Thorough understanding of electrical trade safety practices and OSHA/DOT regulations
• Ability to train others effectively in classroom and field environments

Responsibilities

• Lead safety meetings and conduct field and classroom trainings
• Maintain and update safety databases and training matrices
• Manage PPE inventory including rubber gloves and live-line tools
• Coordinate apprenticeship program and supervise on-the-job training
• Conduct weekly crew safety observations and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA and other safety regulations
• Travel in-state or out-of-state to support storm restoration safety efforts
• Monitor safety networks (Avetta, ISNetworld, Veroforce) and participate in partner safety meetings
