Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation seeks a Safety Supervisor with expertise in the electrical utility construction industry to lead safety specialists and drive an injury-free culture. The role guides observations, policy development, and frontline support on safety questions, reporting to the Manager of Safety Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Health and Safety or related field.
• 7+ years of utility construction safety experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate others.
• OSHA standards knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of employees including performance plan development, performance reviews, resource management, expense and time accounting, coaching and leadership development.
• Provide insights, expertise, training, and assistance to the Safety Specialist team.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
• Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Ensures completion of all client required training/orientation for both safety and environmental.
• Conduct and provide oversight for accident/incident investigations and complete reports.
