Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Facilities Engineer to support plant projects across mechanical, electrical, structural, and utility systems.

As Electrical SME, you will ensure installations and upgrades meet NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and internal standards while leading capital projects and reliability initiatives. You will design and supervise electrical distribution (e.g., 480V 3‑phase), coordinate load planning, and enforce safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years engineering experience in manufacturing, facilities, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory and 480V 3‑phase distribution.
• Experience with electrical safe work practices (meter use, absence of voltage, energized work protocols).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

Responsabilités

• Lead capital and facility improvement projects from concept through commissioning.
• Integrate stakeholder requirements into equipment selection, layouts, and utility planning.
• Evaluate feasibility of new equipment or modifications with cost, space, schedule, and technical considerations.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (specifications, drawings, installation requirements).
• Supervise electrical and mechanical contractors and provide direction to maintenance teams.
• Conduct FAT, benchmarking, and vendor site visits (up to 25% travel).
