Job summary

Howmet Aerospace invites a Facilities Engineer to support, plan, and execute plant projects involving mechanical, electrical, structural, and utility systems. You will act as the site's Electrical SME, ensuring installations and upgrades comply with NEC/NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and Howmet standards beyond regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, facilities, or industrial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical theory and 480V 3phase distribution.
• Demonstrated experience with electrical safe work practices and energized work protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, onelines).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and standard office software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate technical information across levels and functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital and facility improvement projects from concept through commissioning.
• Integrate stakeholder requirements into equipment selection and facility layouts.
• Evaluate feasibility of equipment modifications considering cost, space, and schedule.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and installation requirements.
• Supervise electrical/ mechanical contractors and provide technical direction.
• Conduct FAT, benchmarking, and vendor site visits (up to 25% travel).
• Maintain oneline diagrams and system documentation.
