Job summary

ICS Holding is seeking an experienced Estimator to determine costs for electrical construction projects. The role involves reviewing plans, specifications, and drawings to quantify materials, labor, and equipment.

You will collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids and maintain cost databases while identifying value engineering opportunities. Responsibilities include analyzing project documents, performing material and labor takeoffs, and preparing detailed cost

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 - 3 years of Estimating experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field; combination of relevant education and / or field experience considered in lieu of degree
• Must be able to pass a Drug and Background screen

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects by quantifying materials, labor hours, and equipment.
• Analysis of Project Documents: Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and related documents to identify components, wiring layouts, and equipment.
• Material and Labor Takeoff: Quantify electrical components and estimate labor hours; coordinate with suppliers for pricing and availability.
• Cost Database Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date pricing for materials, equipment, and labor.
• Pricing and Bidding: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals; participate in bid meetings and ensure bid competitiveness.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternatives.
• Risk Assessment: Identify risks affecting cost, schedule, and feasibility; develop contingency plans.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and generate reports on estimating activities.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work with project teams and vendors to align estimating with project goals.
• Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay updated on industry trends and codes.
