• Analyze electrical drawings to identify components, quantities, and equipment.
• Perform material takeoffs and estimate labor hours; coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain an up-to-date cost database for materials, equipment and labor.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals for clients.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce cost without compromising safety.
• Assess risks and develop contingencies related to cost, schedule and feasibility.
• Document estimating activities and communicate results to stakeholders.
