Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC in Allentown, PA is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support preconstruction and project management teams with estimates, bid reviews, and value analysis. The role requires coordinating take-offs, reviewing bid documents, and preparing professional estimates for challenging electrical projects.

You'll work with subcontractors and design teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to contract terms while contributing to project success and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience in estimating, common code requirements, and design/build and plan/spec estimating.
• Excellent communication skills including high-quality documentation and report preparation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors the estimating activities of each project for quality and accuracy of work.
• Reviews bid documents and determines general expenses, labor rates, and other costs.
• Utilizes estimating software to properly estimate projects.
• Surveys job sites as needed for scope and cost efficiency.
• Composes estimate documents in a complete and professional manner.
• Assist in procurement interviews, proposals, bids, and reports.
• Ensure estimates meet customer and company conditions for satisfaction.
• Work with purchasing to reduce material buyout risk and collaborate with design teams.
