Job summary

Lighthouse Electric is seeking an experienced Estimator to perform electrical estimating for diverse commercial and industrial projects. You will develop cost estimates from take-off to bid hand-off, inspect sites, and analyze labor/material needs to prepare competitive bids.

The role requires reading specifications and blueprints, coordinating with engineers and vendors, and using estimating tools like Accubid Enterprise, Bluebeam, LiveCount, BIM models, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Electrical estimating experience required.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with estimating software (Accubid Enterprise preferred).
• Ability to read and evaluate specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost estimates from take-off stage to bid hand-off.
• Performs site inspections to determine labor and material needs.
• Attends pre-bid and scope review meetings.
• Computes and submits bids; interprets specifications and blueprints.
• Coordinates with engineers, customers, vendors, and Project Managers.
• Manages quotation process with vendors and determines equipment needs.
• Maintains up-to-date information in Opportunity Tracker.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
