Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC (“Chapel”), an EMCOR Company, is seeking an Electrical Estimator/Estimator in Training to join our Dayton-area team. You will estimate contract work, interpret construction documents, and predict project costs while representing the company in dealings with Owners, Construction and Project Managers.

The role requires strong math, detail orientation, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Travel to field locations may be necessary as part of bid activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience estimating
• Strong time management and detail orientation
• Proficient in interpreting engineering contracts, plans and specifications
• Accubid experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and interpret contracts, plans and specs to develop detailed estimates.
• Complete take-off within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Define project requirements accurately.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements.
• Provide liaison support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure estimates are accurate and complete.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.

Summary

Chapel is currently hiring an electrical Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating contract work, interpreting construction documents, and predicting project costs. The individual will be responsible for representing the company in many aspects. This position works closely with Owners, Construction and Project Managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Analyze, review and interpret engineering contracts, plans and specifications to develop detailed, comprehensive construction estimates for both small and large projects.
• Complete estimate take-off, within time deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Accurately define project requirements.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and ensure complete scope of work required.
• Assist in determining project resource requirements in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Provide liaison support to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all estimates submitted are as accurate and complete as possible.
• Provide timely project turnover documentation from Estimating to Project Management.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong time management and detail orientation skills are required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years’ experience estimating
• Strong understanding of construction documentation and math skills required.
• Accubid experience is a plus.
