Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an Estimator I to assist in preparing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will learn to bid on projects under supervision, supporting multiple smaller to medium-sized jobs.

This entry-level position offers growth through hands-on learning, collaboration with senior estimators, and opportunities to contribute to the bid process while developing estimating proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-2 years of estimating commercial construction projects, preferably electrical construction.
• Basic experience/exposure in Accubid estimating.
• Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Receive instructions from senior estimators to review scope and requirements.
• Prepare estimates using established procedures and enter takeoffs into the estimating system.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and review quotes for completeness.
• Provide detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the bid package.
• Contribute to timely completion of client-required documents.
• Draft scope letter inclusions and exclusions using templates.
