Job summary

InPwr, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Denver team. The estimator will analyze blueprints to determine material quantities and costs, and estimate labor requirements for bids.

This role may lead a team bid; responsibilities include client follow-up, assisting Sr. Estimator with outreach, and coordinating with Preconstruction and Operations to build accurate proposals. Hybrid or on-site in Denver.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or an Electrical Journeyman’s License.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical industry estimating experience.
• Experience in mission critical, large commercial, or water treatment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC and electrical theory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficient reading of construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Create / revise estimates, proposals, and change orders for current and prospective jobs.
• Work with Preconstruction and Operations to build proposals that include accuracy in labor, time, and materials.
• Identify project cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvements across projects and teams.
• Responsible for project handoff between estimating and project management once project is awarded.
• Request material and equipment quotes from vendors and equipment suppliers, confirm specification adherence and quote accuracy.
• Perform takeoff for individually assigned projects.
• Perform tasks required for team bids such as take-off, specification review.
• Assist and/or lead team bids by fully understanding the RFP and bid documents.
• Perform design/build bids by understanding the RFP and bid documents and be able to identify and quantify project unknowns.
• Weekly outreach and follow-up on pending bids.
• Ability to bid volume of $6M-9M individually on a monthly basis.
