Job summary

Crowder is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare bids and manage estimates for heavy civil and electrical projects. You will participate in the pre-bid and bid process, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to gather quotes, perform quantity surveys, and assemble comprehensive estimates for division scope.

Ideal candidates have a 4-year engineering background with 2+ years in electrical estimating, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, CoinsOA, ProContractor, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• 2 years estimating, engineering or similar experience related to electrical construction.
• Knowledge of means and methods related to electrical materials and construction including conduit and conductor sizing, classified locations, NEMA requirements and Instrumentation and SCADA Systems.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bids and submit proposals to acquire new projects meeting the goals of the Crowder Industrial business plan.
• Be a productive member of the Estimating Team.
• Review bid documents, attend pre-bid meetings, visit project sites, solicit vendors, and prepare quantity surveys for your assigned area.
• Provide bid sponsor with questions/clarifications and participate in bid reviews.
• Attend hand-offs and assist project teams in value engineering and change orders.
