Job summary

Crowder Construction Co is seeking a Civil/Structural/Architectural Estimator to prepare bids and manage the estimating process. The role covers pre-bid activities, vendor coordination, and self-performed cost calculations for diverse infrastructure projects.

You will collaborate with the estimating team to ensure competitive, accurate proposals. The position requires a 4-year engineering degree or equivalent, plus two years of related estimating experience.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related field experience.
• 2 years estimating, engineering or similar experience related to civil/structural/architectural construction.
• Knowledge of means and methods related to concrete materials and construction including concrete mixtures, placement, finishes, formwork, reinforcing steel, repairs, precast structures, structural steel, and architectural finishes.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing required.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, AutoCAD and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bids and submits proposals to acquire new projects aligned with Crowder's business plan.
• Attend Pre-Bid meetings and visit project sites to gather information for estimates.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assemble estimates for assigned divisions.
• Enter labor, material, subcontract, and equipment costs for self-performed work.
• Coordinate with vendors and subs and provide bid day support and documentation.
• Assist with bid reviews, value engineering, and post-bid hand-offs to project teams.
