Job summary

Crowder Constructors Inc. is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare bids for electrical projects across the Southeast.

You will join the estimating team to analyze bids, solicit subcontractor quotes, and assemble comprehensive cost estimates for self-performed and subcontracted work. The role requires 4-year engineering education and experience in electrical construction estimating, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera, CoinsOA, ProContractor and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
• 2 years estimating, engineering or similar experience related to electrical construction.
• Knowledge of means and methods related to electrical materials and construction including conduit sizing and NEMA requirements.
• General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ProContractor, AutoCAD, Primavera, CoinsOA.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with estimators and managers.

Responsibilities

• Pre Bid Process: review bid documents, attend pre-bid meetings, visit sites, solicit quotes, perform quantity surveys.
• Bid Process: maintain vendor/subcontractor databases, evaluate bids, prepare bid documents and cost estimates.
• Post Bid Process: hand-off information to project teams, respond to management questions, assist value engineering.
• Support: build relationships with subcontractors and vendors, track costs and maintain cost databases.
