Job summary

Watson Electrical Construction in Wilson, NC seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare competitive bids for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This role analyzes drawings and specifications, develops pricing strategies, and coordinates with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate takeoffs and on-time bid submissions.

Qualifications

4+ years working in the electrical field.
At least 2 years of electrical estimating experience.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Strong mathematical and cost-control skills.

Responsibilities

Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Prepare estimates by calculating takeoffs and entering data into estimating system; review reports for accuracy.
Request quotes from suppliers for materials and equipment.
Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications.
Itemize and quantify all incidentals for bid packages including subcontract work, equipment rentals, tools and suppliers.
Provide a detailed scope, technical requirements and pricing review prior to bid issuance.
