Job summary

Watson Electrical Construction in Wilson, NC is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. You will prepare competitive bids and detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings and specifications to uncover project requirements and develop strategies that balance cost with winning potential.

The role requires strong electrical estimating experience, blueprint proficiency, and software skills (e.g., Accubid).

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of electrical field experience.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical estimating experience.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Preferred certifications or licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Prepare estimates with complete takeoffs and enter into estimating software; verify accuracy.
• Request quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes; review quotes for completeness.
• Itemize all incidentals needed for bid packages including subcontract work, equipment, tools and suppliers.
• Provide detailed scope, technical requirements and pricing review before bid submission.
• Ensure timely completion of all client-required documents.
• Draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions and clarifications for estimate figures.
• Explain the estimate, scope and quotes during project turnover.
