Job summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our growing estimating team. You will help deliver competitive bids for critical infrastructure projects, including Data Centers and Water/Wastewater Facilities.

Whether you come from electrical or construction estimating, you’ll gain hands-on experience, work with seasoned professionals, and contribute to projects powering communities and the digital economy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Vocational or technical education in electrical or construction disciplines preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in estimating, electrical controls, engineering, construction, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and construction methods.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A team-first attitude with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with estimators, project managers, vendors, and clients to develop winning proposals.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with detailed cost estimates.
  • Solicit, review, and manage vendor and subcontractor pricing (RFQs).
  • Support estimate organization, job setup, and bid package preparation.
  • Assist in developing proposals, scopes of work, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and project kickoff activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and bid accuracy.
  • Independently estimate small to medium-sized project scopes with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver high-quality work while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office‑based work using computers and estimating software.
