Role: Electrical Estimator
Location: Draper, UT
Work Arrangement: Full-time/Hybrid

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing electrical contracting organization. This position will be responsible for estimating electrical work for multifamily, podium, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, and large-scale residential projects. The ideal candidate has strong experience reviewing construction documents, performing electrical takeoffs, developing labor and material estimates, and working with vendors and subcontractors to prepare competitive and accurate bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and addenda
- Perform electrical takeoffs and quantity surveys
- Prepare accurate labor and material estimates
- Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and potential cost issues
- Prepare bid proposals, estimates, and bid summaries
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project discussions
- Track bid opportunities and maintain estimating pipelines
- Work closely with project management, purchasing, and field operations
- Assist with value engineering and budgeting
- Support contract reviews and scope clarification
- Maintain accurate estimating documentation and records
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong understanding of commercial and multifamily electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents
- Working knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical construction practices
- Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
- Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with estimating software such as McCormick, Accubid, Bluebeam, Trimble, ConEst, or similar platforms
- Previous field experience as an electrician, foreman, or project manager
- Experience estimating multifamily, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale residential projects
- Familiarity with Division 26, 27, and 28 scopes
