Job description

Electrical Estimator – Construction with experience. Our Estimators lead projects and collaborate with clients and suppliers to prepare bids and submittals for electrical construction projects.

What You Will Be Doing

• Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates for competitive bids and proposals.
• Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
• Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
• Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
• Lead the Estimating Department; develop and train junior personnel; maintain estimating programs and databases.
• Manage change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of ongoing projects.
• Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build work.
• Review estimates created by others for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform job handoffs from estimating to operations, demonstrating detailed scopes of work, specs, and job-specific conditions.

What You Need

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of estimating software.
• Team mentality.
• Experience in MS Office Suite, Accubid, LiveCount, McCormick, and ConEst preferred.
• Project or bid list experience preferred (not required).
