Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator on behalf of a large electrical contractor. The role focuses on preparing detailed cost estimates for indoor electrical construction and maintenance projects, reviewing blueprints and specifications, and coordinating with clients and vendors to formulate accurate bids.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for a variety of electrical construction projects.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, and construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Review material and labor requirements, to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
