Job summary

Stryker Electric Contracting in Florida is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for large commercial and industrial projects, ensuring accurate cost projections and competitive pricing from bid to contract.

Minimum 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience, proficiency with Excel, Word, and ConEst Estimating Software, and the ability to read plans and specifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects.
• Develop complete and accurate takeoffs from project plans and specs.
• Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering as needed.
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes.
• Collaborate with the construction team throughout project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders.
• Maintain organized and accurate bid documentation.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Strong computer skills, including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ConEst Estimating Software
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients
• Proven experience with education sector large commercial and industrial projects is preferred

• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering or scope modifications as needed
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes
• Collaborate closely with the construction team throughout project execution
• Create, manage, and track change orders
• Maintain well-organized and accurate bid documentation
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring accuracy and quality
