Job summary

S&S Worldwide, Inc. is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering Manager to provide technical direction and team resource planning for control systems on major amusement rides.

The role requires expertise in PLCs, motion control, sensors, and UI implementation, with strong leadership and budgeting responsibilities. You will define electrical work scopes, manage schedules, coordinate with the Engineering Director, and ensure compliance with UL508A standards across domestic and international

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or controls programming.
• 10+ years of experience with PLCs, motion control, sensors and actuators, and UI implementation criteria.
• Ability to create and manage schedules in MS Project or equivalent planning tool.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with engineering team members and customers.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical and control system work scope with project managers and Engineering Director.
• Schedule team tasks and adjust priorities to conform to master engineering schedule.
• Assist Engineering Director with budgeting, resource planning, and scheduling for the Electrical design and engineering team.
• Facilitate development and construction of new project electrical systems, including: functional specifications, ride safety evaluation and documentation, IO lists, schematics, hardware design and layout, conduits and cabling requirements, assembly, factory acceptance tests, and installation supervision.
• Review and approve all team design and engineering work through ECO process.
• Maintain UL508A panel shop through concurrent conformance to codes, standards, and best practices.
