Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers in delivering complex building systems. The role blends technical leadership with people management to drive excellence across projects and sectors.

You will mentor staff, manage design efforts from concept through completion, and coordinate with clients and project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery. PE license and strong leadership are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of progressive experience.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Experience with design software and tools such as Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Leads and mentors a team of discipline-aligned engineers and designers within the sector, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Directs and oversees preparation of design documents, drawings, schematics, and specifications from concept to completion.
• Communicates with clients to develop requirements and coordinate scope of work throughout the project cycle.
• Identifies knowledge gaps and promotes continuous learning and mentorship within the team.
• Possesses PE license or eligible status and may serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) as needed.
• Demonstrates leadership in quality, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
