Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an Engineering Manager to serve as a hybrid technical leader and people manager. You will guide a team of engineers and designers, maintain a strong technical presence, and develop staff through mentoring and career pathing.

You will design complex building systems, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure quality, schedule, and cost goals are met across projects in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; PE license preferred; 12+ years of progressive experience.
• Proficiency with design software including Revit and Bluebeam Revu; strong communication.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Leads and mentors a team of engineers and designers across a sector, developing and executing design projects.
• Acts as hiring manager and career coach, conducting interviews and providing feedback.
• Manages staff assignments, schedules, and project delivery to meet objectives.
• Provides coaching and goal-setting to staff; aligns with sector goals and standards.
• Collaborates to manage project resources and budgets; supports quality reviews.
