Job summary

Air Products seeks an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the regional electrical engineering team across proposals and projects in the Americas, including staff recruitment and development. The role focuses on delivering high-quality electrical design work in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires deep knowledge of power systems, large motors, switchgear, transformers, and power electronics, with collaboration across locations. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree with process industry experience in power systems.
• Experience in supervisory roles with budget responsibility.
• Experience developing staff and teams across locations.
• Experience with large motors 1–10MW and related systems.
• Experience specifying MV/LV switchgear, transformers, and power electronics.
• Proficiency with electrical design software such as SKM Powertools or ETAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional electrical engineering team across proposals and projects in the Americas.
• Recruit, allocate resources, and manage project staffing.
• Develop goals and training plans to grow staff capabilities.
• Provide supervision ensuring timely delivery within time and cost constraints.
• Contribute to Air Products electrical design standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and partners to support AP and customer projects.
• Define execution models for electrical scope and improve processes based on lessons learned.
