Job summary

Air Products is seeking ambitious Principal and Senior Principal Electrical Engineers to lead electrical scope on diverse projects across the Americas. You will mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence while managing time and quality constraints.

The role requires PE status or active pursuit, deep experience with large motors, switchgear, transformers, and power electronics, plus proficiency with SKM Powertools or ETAP. 20% domestic travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree required; PE status or actively pursuing PE status.
• Experience leading electrical design teams on process industry projects.
• Knowledge of large motors (1–10MW; >10MW a plus).
• Experience with LV/MV/HV switchgear, power transformers, and power electronics.
• Proficiency with power systems software (SKM ETAP).

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on proposals and projects across the Americas region.
• Assign tasks to electrical design teams and provide supervision.
• Contribute to development of Air Products’ electrical design standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and outsourcing partners to add value.
• Define execution models for electrical engineering scope and improve processes.
