Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, servo‑mechanism, and electro‑pneumatic components and systems used to test Moog products.
  • Provide engineering and project leadership, manage the performance of direct reports, and maintain and improve engineering processes.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports in all aspects of Electrical Engineering career progression.
  • Supervise team goals, feedback, recognition, and career planning.
  • Support new business initiatives through trade studies, concept development, proposal responses, and customer presentations.
  • Advance the product development process by providing technical support and developing tools and infrastructure.
  • Participate in the execution of technical projects in the space & defense domain, including requirements management, modeling, and analysis of flight‑control actuation technology.
  • Spend approximately half of the time contributing directly to projects in which the team participates.
  • Ensure project milestones are met and manage technical solutions to problems.
  • Access U.S. export‑controlled information as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 8 years of engineering work experience, OR Associate's Degree in Engineering with 12 years of engineering work experience.
  • Proven ability to lead projects or technical initiatives.
  • Proficiency with DOORS (Dynamic Object‑Oriented Requirements System).
  • Working knowledge across all Electrical Engineering domains, including requirements development, system design and analysis, integration and test, and anomaly resolution/root‑cause investigations.
  • Critical thinker with strong relationship building and influence skills.
  • Experience in Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), particularly SysML and Cameo.
  • Knowledge of system performance modeling using MATLAB and/or Simulink.
  • Ability to manage people through coaching and mentoring.
  • Direct management experience is a plus.
  • Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
Salary Range

Buffalo, NY: $105,000.00–$140,000.00 annually. The base salary range is one component of Moog’s total compensation package, which may also include annual bonuses, an employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and other region‑specific benefits.
