Moog Military Aircraft LLC in Elma, NY is seeking a Staff Manager for Project Engineering to lead a team of about 20 engineers onsite and drive projects from initiation through development and production with strong leadership and technical oversight.

You will manage performance, mentor staff, and steer engineering strategy, aligning with cost and schedule targets while promoting continuous improvement across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Proven track record leading engineering teams to success.
• Experience with people leadership and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated experience in project management including EVMS, Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Management, Schedule and Budget Management.
• Ability to work onsite in Elma, NY (remote candidates will not be considered).

Our team in the Space Sector’s Actuation Systems Business Unit is looking for a Staff Manager, Project Engineering.

You will be responsible for leading and developing approximately 20 project engineering direct reports. You will be charged with the oversight of engineering projects, ensuring development and production projects comply with our Design and Development standard processes. You will also participate in proposal efforts with strong engineering teams supporting new business capture and long-term growth.

This position will have an onsite work schedule in Elma, New York and requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $140,000.00–$170,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
