Job summary

Sargent Lundy seeks a senior electrical engineer to lead multi-discipline nuclear power projects, mentoring the design group and coordinating with other disciplines to ensure deliverables meet technical, quality, and budget expectations.

The position is onsite initially as remote, with a planned shift to a hybrid arrangement—three days in the office and two remote days—supporting the Duane Arnold Energy Center and client needs.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 10 years of experience designing electrical systems for nuclear plants.
• 3 years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Experience as a firm/client liaison in a lead role.
• Experience with electrical system design including LV/MV distribution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to deliver electrical engineering deliverables within scope, budget, and client expectations.
• Define scope, deliverables, and oversee progress reporting.
• Guide detailed design phases and interface with other disciplines.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for nuclear plant modifications.
• Prepare multi-discipline proposals and coordinate with clients.
